Attractions In the Side Region 

  • The Museum hosts beautiful archeological pieces collected from the region in its halls, all the statues found during excavations between 1947 and 1967 have been moved here.  The museum has collections from the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods.
    This small museum contains various artifacts, many of which are also displayed in the shaded tranquil gardens, overlooking the turquiose sea.
    This Museum is unique because it is built over the old Roman baths.
  • The magnificent promenade stretching from Side to Kumköy and beyond gives an extra dimension to the town.
  • Side is flanked by two superb beaches which offer a large selection of activities like: diving, surfing, fishing, sailing and water sports.
  • Side is a paradise for those who enjoy shopping.  Also restaurants, bars and discos are situated round the harbour and throughout the town.
  • In Roman times, Side was a major port city. Now a days the harbour offers you a large selection of yacht and boat day-trips.
  • Horse Riding in the Sorgun Forests. There are lots of riding stables located in Sorgun, which are also offering riding lessons for beginners. In Sorgun, 350-year-old pine trees form a green canopy providing pleasant shade while you ride around. The foliage also gives natural shelter to the various species of animals and plants living there.
  • Jeep Safari. Spend the day driving around the Taurus Mountains in a jeep convey stopping for panoramic views and visiting traditional villages.
  • Mountaineering in the Taurus. The Beydag mountain range has peaks ranging from 600 – 3.086 m, with a variety of geological and typographical features and offer a wide range of climbing opportunities.
  • Rafting in Koprulu Kanyon. Within the Koprulu Canyon National Park, Koprucay is among the most breathtaking rafting centers in the country. Manavagat River rushes powerfully over the rocks, and offers excellent rafting opportunities. 
  • Motorcycling/Quad safari. Whether you're looking for a fun family day out, a corporate team building exercise or simply a unique way to enjoy countryside.
  • Golf in Belek (apprx. 20 min. drive from Side) All professional courses have been developed by international teams of Golf architects, consultants and PGA Professionals. Belek is one of the few places where golf can be played right through the winter, in short sleeves.
  • Skiing in Saklikent. Within the province of Antalya is a ski centre at Saklikent, in the Beydag mountain range, at 1.850 m. Because of its close proximity to Antalya, it is one of the few places in the world that people can ski in the mornings, then swim in the sea in the afternoon. There are two ski lifts, restaurants and accommodation available. The skiing season runs between January and April.
